Safety

ABM Envirosafe can contract your entire site confined space entry permitting – from isolating the vessel, completing all work on or in the vessel, reports, inspections and re-introducing the vessel back into production. Proven work procedures ensure the highest possible standard of work without compromising safety or the environment.

All vessel entry, gas monitoring and certification comply with AS 2865-2001 and AS 2275 1-2 1979. ABM Envirosafe is a DEC licensed Waste Carrier and has a commercial fleet of licensed vehicles, with all Controlled Waste Vehicles licensed and registered with the Department of Environment and Conservation.

All chemicals used for cleaning by ABM Envirosafe staff are high performance, bio-based formulations made from renewable plant sources. These products are readily bio-degradable and use surfactant technology to remove soiling without damaging cleaning surfaces. These clean and deodorize without the use of toxic chemicals which reduces Occupational Health and Safety and disposal issues.

ABM Envirosafe places a strong emphasis on safety and employee training, with our operational staff having completed Confined Space Entry training courses, Safety Awareness Training and holding Department of Environment and Conservation Controlled Waste Drivers Licenses. A number of staff hold Senior First Aid Certificates as well as training in the use of Gas Monitors and Quality Assurance.

To maintain our Occupational Health and Safety and Training Requirements, ABM Envirosafe uses the MYOSH internet based online OSH management system. MYOSH is a risk management, occupational health and safety system accessible via the internet by staff anywhere in the world. This enables us to systematically analyse all aspects of our safety portfolio. MYOSH is currently used globally and is being used in industries including oil and gas, mining, construction, aviation and agriculture.
